Helen Baker
Helen Baker, 84, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Indian Path Medical Center.
She was a 1946 graduate of Sullivan High School. Helen and her husband Don had owned and operated Beechwood Music Center for over 20 years. She enjoyed singing and listening to old time music. Helen was of the Baptist faith. She was past Matron of the Order of The Eastern Star No. 198, Kingsport.
Her husband, Don Baker; her parents; and two sisters preceded her in death.
Helen is survived by her son, Marty Baker and wife Melisa of Chuckey; her daughter, Donnia Kestner and husband, Phil of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Jon Pitt and wife Tambra, Andrea Pitt, Aron Baker and wife, Gina and Alisha Fillers and husband Michael; three great-grandchildren, Eli Pitt, Amanda Pitt, and Zoey Beth Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life service will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Rev. Ed Martin officiating.
