Helen Louise Hyder Hall

Helen Louise Hyder Hall, 78, of Kingsport, passed away Monday, May 19, 2014, surrounded by her family.

Helen was a graduate of Milligan college. She started her career at Eastman Credit Union. She was a loving, stay at home mom while the children were in middle school. Then she became a realtor and worked at Century 21 Colonial Realtors. She later went back to Eastman Credit Union and worked limited part-time. Helen was a very active member of Heritage First Church of God. She considered every member part of her extended family.

She held offices at both the state and local level in the WCG (Women of the Church of God), loved spending time with grandchildren, enjoyed Vacation Bible School, making pickles on Thursdays, and lunch with friends.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Billy Jo Hyder and Robert Nathaniel Hyder; half-brother Earnest Hyder; half-sister, Jean Raflaovich; and her parents, Harmon Hyder and Georgia Inez Butler Hyder.

Helen is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Roy N. Hall, Kingsport; one daughter, Cindy L. Hall, Kingsport; son, Patrick A. Hall and wife, Yvette, Kingsport; three grandchildren, Alex Johnson and fiancée Rebecca Brown, Johnson City; Tanner Hall, Kingsport, Ryley Hall, Kingsport; two sisters, Char Langley and husband Edwin Langley, Kingsport, and Wanda "Squeeky" Jones and husband, James; two grand-dogs, Brady and Gizmo; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and very special friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, May 23, 2014, from 5 to 7 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The service will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Stephen Tilley officiating, a eulogy by Carroll Light, and music by Vicki Austin.
