Helen Evans Hamblen

Helen Evans Hamblen, 90, of Kingsport, passed away on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.

She was a member of Glen Alpine United Methodist Church.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Ray Hamblen; parents, Gillard Evans and Mildred Evans Bolton.

She is survived by her two daughters, Letitia "Tish" Williams and husband, Eddie of Kingsport, and Becky Hamblen of Gray; four grandchildren, Valerie Williams Hunt and husband, Clint, Charles E. "Chuck" Williams and wife, Beth, and Elizabeth Williams Bright and husband, Nathan, Hollie Rhoton Brooks and husband, Tommy; seven great-grandchildren, C.J. White and wife, Ashley, Rachel Hunt, Nikolas Williams, Alex Hunt, Henry Brooks, Manning Brooks, and Sam Bright; one great-great-grandchild, Trinity White; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 12 to 1 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Rhonda Hobbs officiating. The burial will follow at East Lawn Memorial Park.
