Helen Hicks Crussell

Helen Elizabeth Hicks Crussell, 90, of Kingsport, died Friday morning, April 27, 2018 at NHC Kingsport after a brief illness. She was a lifelong resident of Kingsport. Helen was a homemaker and had worked for Mead Corporation for several years. She was a member of Kingsley United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, David Crussell; sister, Frances Borem; 2 brothers, Herman "Pete" Hicks, and Andrew Ed Hicks; and parents, Walter Kenneth Hicks and Lucy Ketron Hicks.

Helen is survived by 2 daughters, Lucy Moody and husband, Richard of Blountville, and Luann Porter and husband, Steve of Centennial, Colorado; 4 grandchildren, Mary Elizabeth Moody, Rachel Moody, Benjamin Porter and Lily Porter; sister, Tommy Beasley of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews and a very special nephew, Wesley Hicks.

The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Monday, April 30, 2018 at Kingsley United Methodist Church. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Adam Love and Rev. Ray Amos officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at East Lawn Memorial Park.
