Helen Elouise Lady, 92, of Kingsport, passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013.
She taught at Sullivan and Miller Perry Schools. Helen was a longtime member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church and also a member of Eastern Star.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Richard and Pearl Jackson Lady; sister, Leota Cox; and brothers, Carl Lady Sr. and Paul Lady.
Survivors include her sister, Bonnie Lady of Kingsport; nieces, Zella Hunigan and husband Dwight, Ruth Hurst and husband John; nephew, Carl Lady, Jr.; great-niece, Emily Johnson and husband David; great-nephews, Bill Hunigan and wife Talli, James Hurst and wife Christine, Russell Hurst and wife Allison; and several great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
The family wishes to extend gratitude to the staff and caregivers of Care Central and Mountain States Health Alliance Hospice.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be held at 6 p.m. with Bob McNew and Rev. Gary Burton officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at East Lawn Memorial Park. The family will meet at the graveside by 12:45 p.m.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Colonial Heights Baptist Church, 108 Colonial Heights Road, Kingsport, TN 37663; or to the charity of one's choice.
