Helen Marie Jones Morgan

Helen Marie Jones Morgan, 91, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center after a very brief illness. She was born March 1, 1919, in the Kyles Ford community of Hancock County, TN. Practically all of her adult life was spent in Kingsport working to provide support and love for her extended family. She was a highly unselfish and very loving mother and grandmother.

Helen worked at several places in Kingsport during her lifetime, even past retirement age.

She was preceded in death by her husband, W. T. Morgan; two sons, Jerry Morgan and Bill Morgan; her parents, Jessie J. and Nora Burton Jones; three sisters, Margaret Gilmore, Mollie Jones, and Dovie Byrd; and four brothers, Charles Jones, Kenneth Jones, Vint Jones, and Paul Jones.

Helen is survived by a son, Tom Morgan, Kingsport; grandsons, Chad, Justin, Chris, and Will Morgan; three great-grandchildren, Renee, Amaya, and Charlie; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 5 to 7 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Highland Cemetery in Rogersville.
