Helen Ruth Ramey, 84, of Church Hill, went home to be with her precious Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 30, 2012.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Helen was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Daniel Howe Ramey; her parents, Neal and Sarah Ragle; two sons, Ronnie Ramey and Daniel Ramey, Jr.; two daughters, Ellen Ramey and Darlene Barnett; several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her ten children: daughters, Kay Elkins and Junior Elkins, Mary Salyer and husband, Danny, Arlene Salyer and husband, Doug, Lisa Parker and husband, Mickey, all of Kingsport, Helen Hensley and husband, Larry, of Fall Branch, Rhonda Crawford and husband, Sam, of Jonesborough, April Goins and husband, Donnie, of Rogersville; sons, Ivan Ramey and wife, Terri, Randy Ramey and Tim Ramey, all of Church Hill; son-in-law, Sam Barnett of Ohio; sister, Mary Francis Feagins, of Rogersville; 34 grandchildren, 47 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5-7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Family and friends may call at the home at any time.
Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Ross Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery. Those wishing to go in procession need to meet at the funeral home at 1:00 p.m.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
