Helen Sue Salley, 61, of Jonesborough, went to be with the Lord on Friday, March 7, 2008.
Born in McDowell County, West Virginia, she had resided in Kingsport most of her life. Mrs. Salley was of the Freewill Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert W. Salley, Sr.; parents, Clarence and Virginia Monk; and one sister-in-law, Marie Monk.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne Salley and wife Irene of Jonesborough, Randy Salley and wife Lisa Gail of Kingsport; two grandsons, Brandon Salley and Kristopher Buckingham; one great-grandson, Travis Buckingham; two sisters, Mary Ann Sanders and husband Clark of Knoxville, Shirley Grubbs and husband Louis of Hesperia, California; four brothers, Roy Monk and wife Dot of Kingsport, Sherman Monk of Kingsport, Clarence Monk and wife Betty of Maryland, Gerald Monk and wife Ann of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews; two aunts, Mary Alice Artrip of Abingdon, VA and Tessa Gilliam of Kingsport; and one uncle, Clarence Honaker of Honaker, VA.
Calling hours are from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Pastor Eddie McAmis and Pastor M. LeBron Palmer officiating.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be family members and friends.
