Helen H Zollman

Helen Zollman, 99, of Kingsport, passed away peacefully Friday, February 6, 2015 at Wexford House Nursing Home in Kingsport.

She was born in Lake Alfred, FL but has resided in Kingsport since 1933. She took great pride and joy in her family. She had been a member of Glen Alpine United Methodist Church since 1942 and former president of the United Methodist women. When her children were school age, she was active in Sullivan PTA where she was a lifetime member. She was a past president of the Sullivan Parent Teacher Association. Later, she enjoyed being a volunteer at Holston Valley Community Hospital. Helen loved being with people and "on the go".

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Bruce T. Zollman in 1975 and two sisters, Edith Garcia and Louise Ryer.

She is survived by one daughter, Margie and husband, Doug Jones of Ooltewah, TN; five sons, Tom and wife, Barbara; Gordon and wife, Angela; Dick and wife, Pat; Ken and wife, Kathy; Alan and wife, Lisa all of Kingsport, TN; ten grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends Sunday, February 8, 2015 from 5-7 pm at Glen Alpine United Methodist Church with funeral services at 7 pm with Rev. Rhonda Hobbs officiating.

Graveside services will be Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11 am at Tri-Cities Memory Garden.

Family members will be serving as pallbearers with Zirkle Hensley serving as honorary pallbearer.
