Henry Dee Absher, 26, of Kingsport, died Friday, February 27, 2009 after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born in Kingsport, where he had lived all of his life, Henry was presently employed with Asplundh Tree Company.
He was a Baptist.
Henry was preceded in death by his mother, Sharon Absher; maternal grandfather, Henry Darrell McClellan; paternal grandfather, Richard D. Absher; aunt, Terri McClellan; and cousin, Sharon Crawford.
Surviving are his wife, Tosha Absher, Kingsport; two daughters, Izabella "Bug" Riley Absher and Kelsey "Peanut" Raven Neeley, both of Scott County, VA; father, Ronnie D. Absher, Kingsport; stepmother, Regina Bernard, Greeneville; two sisters, Elizabeth Absher and husband Travis, Kingsport and Rebecca McCracken and husband David, Church Hill; one brother, Eddie Massengill, Greeneville; three stepbrothers; maternal grandmother, Juanita McClellan, Kingsport; paternal grandmother, Dessie Absher, Kingsport; nieces and nephews, Madyson Absher, Ethan Absher, and Jordan Babb; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport and any time at the home.
Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Roy Lane, Rev. Kyle Falin, and Rev. Raymond Hammonds officiating.
Interment will follow at Chestnut Flats Cemetery in Scott County, VA.
Pallbearers will be Ronnie Absher, Eddie Massengill, Jason Bernard, Adam McClellan, Allen McClellan, Tim Crawford, B. J. McClellan, and Eric McClellan. Honorary pallbearers will be T. C. Crawford, Emmitt Absher, Matthew Absher, Joe Crawford, Dave Crawford, Sean McClellan, Travis Ketron, David McCracken, Rusty Aistrop, and Big Al.
