Henry Thomas Lee

Henry Thomas Lee, 76, Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2015 at 1:00 pm, due to an apparent heart attack. Henry was born in Hurt, Virginia, where he lived until going in the U.S. Navy at age 17. While in the Navy he served as a gunner's mate on the USS Forrestal CVA59 out of Norfolk, VA serving in the Atlantic. He retired from American Greetings. Henry was a member of Bridge Chapel Church of God and was an active member of Westview Baptist Church. He was a former VFW member in Greeneville.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Edward Lee, Sr. and Adell Lee Garrison; brothers, Roy Lee, Jr. and Harold Lee; sister, Viola Lee; wife, Helen Louise Lee; and brother-in-law, Lester Marsh, Sr.

Henry is survived by his son, James E. Lee of Kingsport; former wife, Loretta W. Lee of Kingsport; step-daughters, Teresa Kimery and husband, Ricky of Chuckey, TN, Debbie Fisher and husband, Andy of Greeneville, TN, and Darla Bowman and husband, David of Afton, TN; step-son, Rocky Luster and wife, Kendra of Greeneville, TN; grandchildren, Leslie Kimery, Nathan Kimery, Laura Harville, Andrew Luster, Rachel Bowman, Boone McCrary, Brooke Bowman, Kenzie Luster, and Jacob Luster; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Shirley Marsh of Chatham, VA, Nancy Evans of Appomattox, VA, and Virginia Brown and husband, George of Rustburg, VA; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Clarence Gammill officiating.

The graveside service will be conducted on Saturday at 11:00 am at Holston View Cemetery. Military Rites will be by American Legion Posts 3/265.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.

Memorial contributions may be given to any military organization.
