Herbert F. Kuhfuss, 88, Kingsport, passed to his heavenly home on October 22, 2012 at Asbury Nursing Home. Herb was raised in New Jersey and graduated from Tusculum College, retiring from Eastman Kodak in 1984. He served in the U.S. Air Force in WWII.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Frieda Kuhfuss, sister, Ruth Roberts, and his first wife, Doris.
Herb is survived by his wife, Arlene; daughter, Gail Thomas and husband, James; son, Gordon Kuhfuss and wife, Leslie; three grandchildren; and one-great grandchild. He is also survived by Arlene's children, daughter Joanne Morin and husband, Robert; son, John Doster and wife, Melissa; and three grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25th from 4-6:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 6:00 pm with The Rev. Dr. David A. Cagle officiating.
Private graveside services for family members will be conducted on Friday at East Lawn Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 207 North Boone St., Johnson City, TN 37605 or to First Presbyterian Church, 100 W. Church Circle, Kingsport, TN 37660.
