Herbert Randal McGaha

Herbert Randal McGaha, 73, Kingsport, died at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at Indian Path Medical Center. Born in Kingsport, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was employed with Eastman Chemical Manufacturing for 34 years, retiring in 1998. He was a member of Kingsport Masonic Lodge #688 F&AM. Randal's hobby was helping others.

Randal was preceded in death by his parents, Harlan and Sarah McGaha; brother, James McGaha; and sisters, Henrietta Reece and Mary Jane Page.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Joyce Porter McGaha, Kingsport; two sons, Tommy McGaha and wife, Donna of Kingsport, and Tony McGaha of Powell, TN; three grandchildren, Brian McGaha, Jared McGaha and Dustin McGaha; sister, Lillian Reece, Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:30 pm with Rev. Adam Love and Pastor Wayne Baker officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Saturday at 9:00 am at East Lawn Memorial Park. Grandsons and nephews will serve as pallbearers.
