Hester Irene Doty
Hester Irene Doty, 79, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Friday, February 3, 2012.
She was a member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Hester was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.
Her husband, Hartsell H. Doty; parents, Berton and Atta Morrison; and brother, Kermit Morrison preceded her in death.
Hester is survived by three sons, Don Doty and wife Suzi of Harrisburg, N. C., Jim Doty and wife Barb of Aurora, IL, and Harold Doty of Kingsport; one granddaughter, Charlotte Doty Bramlett of Concord, NC; one sister, Ruth Depew of Fall Branch; and a niece, Priscilla Depew of Fall Branch.
The family will receive friends from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Pleasant View Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Baker, Rev. Bobby Sanders, and Rev. Chuck Grimm officiating.
Interment will follow at New Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Greene County. Deacons of Pleasant View Baptist Church will serve as pallbearers.
