Howard Clark, Jr., 79, of Fall Branch passed away unexpectedly at his son's home in Gainesville, Florida, Sunday, April 27, 2014.
A native of Jasper, Virginia, he was the son of the late Howard, Sr. and Nell Johnson Clark. Howard retired from Eastman Kodak as a pressman after 38 years of service. He was an avid beagler and sports fan. He was also a former member of the Tri Cities Beagle Club.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Clark, and sister, Glenda Hutton.
Howard is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Glenda Clark, of the home; two daughters, Jeri Callaway and husband, Scott of Houston, TX, and Lisa Case and husband, Bill of Ringgold, GA; two sons, Dennis Clark and wife,Vickie of Kingsport, and David Clark and wife, Laura of Gainesville, FL; and five grandchildren, Preston and Kaitlin Thomas, Grayson and Abbie Clark, and Sean Callaway.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch, with Rev. David Tully officiating. The family will receive friends following the service and other times at the home.
