Howard Wayne ?Junior? Garland, 55, Kingsport, passed away Thursday, July 5, 2007, at Greystone Health Care Center following a lengthy illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and worked in construction throughout the Kingsport area.
Junior fought hard to breathe from emphysema, but the struggle for him is over.
His parents, Howard and Lue Deema Garland, preceded him in death.
Surviving are one daughter, Tracy Fleming and husband, Brian, Kingsport; two sons, Casey Garland and wife, Ginger, Kingsport, and Jamie Garland, also of Kingsport; four grandchildren, Jessica, Blazye and Tori Fleming and Noah Garland; one brother, Danny Garland, Kingsport; close friend, Jean Center; and special friend, Roger Haga.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport, or any time at the home of the daughter, Tracy at 1820 Sweetbriar Road, Kingsport.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Rev. Cecil Fleming officiating.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Dunn, Casey Garland, Jamie Garland, Brian Berry, Brian Fleming, and Billy King.
