Hubert Ray Gott, 77, of Kingsport died Sunday morning, December 19, 2010 at Wellmont Hospice House in Bristol after a brief illness. A lifelong resident of Kingsport, Hubert retired from Rental Uniform in 1992 after 37 years of service. He was a Baptist and an avid golfer.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Faye Gott.
Survivors include two daughters, Dawn C. Gott of Kingsport, Sandra Kay Poff of Kingsport; two grandchildren, Michael David Poff of Kennesaw, GA., Mark Dewayne Poff of Kingsport; brothers, Harold Gott and wife, Ilene of Kingsport, Bobby Gott and wife, Geraldine of Kingsport, Billy Gott and wife, Nadine of Kingsport, Gerald Gott and wife, Sherl of Kingsport; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 21, 2010 at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The service will begin at 8:00 p.m. with Pastor David Salley and Pastor Mike Stout officiating. Music will be provided by Judy and David Goins.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at East Lawn Memorial Park. Those planning to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 12:45 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers are: Gary Gott, Ronnie Gott, Ricky Gott, Richie Gott, Jerry Gott, Steven Gott, Mike Poff, and Mark Poff.
