Hubert Thomas, 77, Kingsport, passed away at his home on Friday, February 4, 2011.
Born in Knoxville, Hubert had resided in Kingsport for the past 30 years. He was the former owner and operator of N & T Produce.
Hubert was a member of Alice Bell Baptist Church in Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons, Milton Thomas and Jeff Thomas; an infant brother; and one sister, Judy Woods.
Survivors include wife, Nannie Thomas of Kingsport; two daughters, Brenda Cates, Joyce Diamond, both of Knoxville; four sons, David Thomas, Junior Thomas, Rex Thomas, and Ricky Thomas, all of Knoxville; several grandchildren; two sisters, Christine Letner of Maynardville, TN and Anna Ruth Jones of Morristown, TN; one brother, Johnny Thomas of Inglewood, TN; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Services will follow at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Evangelist Kenneth Neeley, Brother Bill Tignor, and Rev. Ronnie Horne officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Ross Campground United Methodist Church Cemetery.
