Ila Archer, 85, of Fall Branch went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 9, 2011 at Baysmont Asbury Place. Born in Harrison County, IA, she had resided most of her life in Fall Branch. Ila was a graduate of East Tennessee State University. She began her working career at JC Penny's in downtown Kingsport, later becoming a librarian at Fall Branch School and then transferring to Daniel Boone High School where she retired in 1989. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Fall Branch where she had served as a Sunday school teacher.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Archer; parents, Floyd Fewins and Irene Ondrak; one brother, Otha Fewins; one sister, Leona Nordstrom.

Survivors include two daughters, Sue Morelock and husband, Gary of Fall Branch, June Pierce of Fall Branch; two grandchildren, Steven Morelock and wife, Leslie of Bristol, TN; Tracie Blackwell of Bristol, TN; three great-grandchildren, Ashley, Amber and Alex; one sister, Katheryne Magill of Menonomee Falls, WI; two brothers, Benny Fewins and wife Irma of Polo, MO, Philip Fewins and wife, Akemi of Seguin, TX; several nieces and nephews.

Special thanks to Ila's caregivers at Steadman Hill and Baysmont.

At her request, graveside services will be held privately on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at Sulphur Springs Cemetery.
