Imogene Hensley

Imogene Hensley, 82, Greeneville, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, September 21, 2017. Born in Greene County, she had retired from Greene Valley Developmental Center with over 30 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale Hensley; son, Dennis Thornburg; 2 sisters, Wanda McCrary and Marlyn Hayes; and nephew Stacy Hayes.

Imogene is survived by 2 daughters, Rita Thornburg Montgomery and husband, Robert, and Angela Hensley; 4 grandchildren, Brad Thornburg, Chelsey Johnson, Megan Johnson and Alex Thornburg; 3 great-grandchildren, Dennis Robert, Shea Ann and Jake; nephew, Rick McCrary and wife, Vivian; 3 nieces, Donna Sexton and husband, Chris, Lisa Rasnake and husband, Greg, and Tracy Hayes; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Glenn McCracken officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Monday at 1:00 pm at Cherry Hill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Terry Joe McMackin, Brad Thornburg, Dennis Robert Thornburg, Hunter Hayes, Coby Whaley, Chris Sexton, Rick McCrary and Greg Rasnake.
