Imogene Hoskins McMurray

Imogene Hoskins McMurray, 71, of Kingsport, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2009 after a brief illness. She was a member of Arcadia United Methodist Church. Imogene enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her three granddaughters.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Forrest Hoskins, and daughter, Lori Jean Hoskins.

Imogene is survived by three sons, Barry Hoskins of Kingsport, Russell Hoskins and wife Stephanie of Bristol, and Joe Hoskins and wife Carol of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Andrea Hoskins, Holly Hoskins, and Samantha Hoskins; and special friend R. W. McMurray; sister, Kitty Fields of China Grove, NC; brother, Jim Hicks and wife Donna of Gatlinburg; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. A funeral service will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Grover Starnes officiating.

Burial will be on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Gunnings Cemetery.
