Inez Ruth McCamey Parton

Mrs. Inez McCamey Parton, 90, of Fall Branch, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 20, 2014 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center. She was a member of Pine Grove Free Will Baptist church and loved the Lord with all her heart. She lived a life of kindness and was affectionately known as "Granny" to many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Parton; brother, Bob McCamey; half-brothers, George McCamey, Alden McCamey and Ralph McCamey; half-sister, Mary Roberts; step-son, Wayne Parton; step-grandson, Gary Parton; and great-grandson, Jeremy Lynn.

Inez is survived by her sons, Bill Parton and wife, Sally of Church Hill, and Charles Parton and wife, Dolores of Gray; daughter, Barbara Jackson and husband, James "Rabbit" of Kingsport; step-daughter-in-law, Thelma Parton of Georgia; half-sisters, Isabell Parton of Jonesborough, Lonell Crawford of Kingsport, and Clara Roberts of Greenville; grandchildren, Lisa Peak and husband, Matt, LaDonna Compton and husband, Mark, Chris Jackson and wife, Michelle, David Parton and wife, Emily, and Greg Parton and wife, Jennifer; step-grandchildren, Bobby Wines and wife, Tennille Carolyn Parton, Lynda Aistrop and husband, Danny, Sue Hollifield, Sharon Scott and husband, Jeff, and Seth Parton and wife, Jennifer; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 9 step-great-grandchildren; 10 step-great-great-grandchildren; 1 expected step-great-great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews; special neighbor; Lori Davenport, and other neighbors and friends.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Rev. Charles Byrd officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday, July 24, 2014 at 11:00 am at Pine Grove Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be David Parton, Greg Parton, Chris Jackson, Mark Compton, Matt Peak, and Nick Musser. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Compton, Phillip Parton, Chandler Parton, Jamie Aistrop and Ronnie Jackson.
