Inez Virginia Goodling Sipe, 87, of Kingsport, formerly of Towson, Maryland, was welcomed into her heavenly home by her Lord and Savior on Monday, January 8, 2007.
She was the daughter of George and Florance Goodling, East King Street, York, PA.
Inez was a homemaker, caterer, secretary at Goucher College, a choir director, and choir member. She loved music, singing, her family, and her church family. She was an avid bird watcher and cat lover and also very active in raising orchids and many other flowers.
In addition, Inez was a gourmet cook. She loved to entertain and entertained many international visitors. She will be long remembered for her love of family, church, and her late husband of 64 years, Raymond Sipe.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Phyllis Holtzinger, a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Ethel and Louis Mellon; and brother-in-law, Robert Munds.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Don Royston; granddaughters, Audrey
Royston Hein and husband, Jeremiah; great-granddaughter, Molly Faith Hein; and granddaughter, Rachael Emily Royston, all of Kingsport; her son, Craig L. Sipe of Conroe, Texas; a brother-in-law, Gerald Holtzinger; sister-in-law, Eleanor Munds of York, PA; and a special friend, Julie Pinto, of Australia.
The family will receive friends at Central Presbyterian Church in Towson, Maryland from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday with funeral services to follow. Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Rose Cemetery, York, PA.
