Iris Mae Hensley

Iris M. Hensley, 95, of Kingsport, TN, went to be with the Lord Friday, August 22, 2008.

She was a member of Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church.

Mrs. Hensley was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Ingle E. Hensley, parents, James M. and Harriett Taylor Gardner, grandson, Darrell G. Jackson, sisters, Nellie Shivley and Ada Crain, and a brother, J. D. Gardner.

Surviving are one daughter, Wilma Brooks and husband Don, Gate City, VA; son, Hisel Hensley and wife Bettye, Kingsport, TN; two grandchildren, Charles Hensley and wife Patricia and Christy Bowlin, step-grandchild, Jonathan Sauceman and wife Linda; great-grandchildren, Penny Botts and husband Kenneth, Jodi Graham and husband Shad, Travis Jackson and wife Lora, Christopher Bowlin, Shelby Hensley, and Zack Hensley; great-great-grandchildren, Jessica and Maddie Quillen, Bailey, Brooke, and Isaac Graham, Destiny, Kristen, and Kayla Jackson; sister-in-law, Hazel Gardner; several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are 5-8:00 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted Monday at 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Charles Boone, Pastor Jeff Davis, and Mike Bays officiating.

Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Charles Hensley, Shad Graham, Mike Bays, Travis Jackson, Paul Bledsoe, and Andy Shivley. Honorary pallbearers are Jim Mays, Gene Blevins, Jack Ketron, Vance Pope, Roy Starnes, Dr. Jason Brazee, Farrell Johnson, Joe Beverly, Jack Adams, Jimmy Shivley, Fred Parker, and Kenneth Botts.
