Isaac Frank Rowland, 75, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center following a brief illness.

Frank was born February 7, 1932 in Sullivan County where he resided his entire life. He retired from Mead Paper Corporation after 37½ years of service.

He was a loving husband, father and papaw.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Albert Hugh Rowland and Selma Clarice Starnes Rowland; three brothers, Rev. Carl Rowland, Claud Rowland, and Albert Hugh Rowland, Jr.; one sister, Elizabeth Gaby; and two grandsons, Samuel Ethan Cook and Charles Allan Cook.

He is survived by his wife, Emma Viola Foulk Rowland; his daughter, Diane R. Cook and husband, Sam; his son, Micheal Keith Rowland and wife, Terri; one grandson, Nicholas Isaac Rowland; one sister, Betty Haga and husband, Harold; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Services will be conducted at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Pastor Travis Boling and Rev. Guy Tilley officiating. Music will be provided by members of the Bible Way Baptist Church Choir.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Gary Tunnell, Vic Haga, Gary Haga, Barry Honeycutt, Eric Rowland, Sam Cook, Bill Tipton, and Everett Seymore.

Honorary pallbearers will be retirees from Mead Corporation; Grady Lee, Ken Everhart, Earl Linkous, Oscar Harkleroad, Clyde Rose, Glenn Joyner, and Bob Light.
