Jack Vicars

Jack Vicars, 60, of Kingsport, TN., went to sleep in the arms of Jesus, Saturday, March 30, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer.

Jack was retired from TVA. He was an avid hunter and fisherman all his life. He resided in Kingsport his entire life.

Jack was preceded in death by his father Bud N. Vicars, Sr., mother Helen M. Vicars and two infant brothers, Nelson and Joe Vicars.

Jack is survived by his brothers, Bud Vicars, Jr. and wife Brenda, Gary Vicars and wife Teresa, Ronnie Vicars and wife Connie, Tom Vicars and wife Cheryl, Pat Vicars and wife Robin, and Harry Vicars. Sister, Genie Vicars-Qualls, Sandra Vicars-Holtzclaw, Beverly Vicars-Hobbs and husband Clarence, Marie Vicars-Coris, and husband Nick. Several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 5 -7 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7 pm with Pastor Aaron Price and Rev. Harlan McDavid officiating.
