Jackie H. "Jack" Taylor, 83, Kingsport, passed from this life to his heavenly home on December 29, 2018. He had endured a lengthy period of declining health.

He also served for many years on the Board of the Kingsport Press Credit Union and was retired from the Kingsport Press. Jack was a longtime member of Glenwood Baptist Church and it was there that he met the love of his life, Helen "Earleen" Going Taylor.

The family would like to extend their appreciation to Dr. Brian Shafer and Dr. Kurt Ick and their staff for their outstanding and compassionate care, and to Robbin Metcalf for her care and kindness. We would also like to thank Carolyn Cole and Allison Miller of Ballad Health Hospice. They were nothing short of angels in our time of distress and their service allowed him to pass peacefully at the home of his daughter, surrounded by his family. We will be eternally grateful for them as they truly went above and beyond to meet our needs.
The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 pm with Pastor Chris Ball officiating.
