Jackie Watson

Jackie Watson of Kingsport went home to be with the Lord Saturday evening, September 22, 2018, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Kingsport, a daughter of the late Charlie and Ruby Parker Isenberg, she graduated from Sullivan High School in 1954. She lived in Dallas, Texas after graduation and returned to Kingsport in 1956. She was a former member of First Presbyterian Church. Jackie had owned and operated Tri-City Travel, and had retired in 1991 following 25 years of service.
Jackie will be remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mom, sister, and friend who loved watching UT Football, mini crossword puzzles in the paper, cooking and entertaining, and she was an avid reader.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to HMG, W-3 Hospice, and the nurses on the 3rd floor of Holston Valley Medical Center for all their support and kindness.
In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by sister, Norma Cantor, granddaughter, Trish Salyers, daughter, Gail Salyers; and step-son, Anthony Watson.
She is survived by her husband of 5 years, Tony Watson; son, Mitch Horton of Knoxville; grandchildren, Lee Salyers, Dustin Salyers, Brittany Blair, Stacey Livesay, Jamie Lee Watson, Corrine Gonzales, Angie Watson, Shanna Watson; many great-grandchildren; brother, Billy Isenberg and wife, Dorothy of Kingsport; sister, Phyllis Broome of Kingsport; several nieces and nephews; many special friends; and her dogs Princess and Caesar.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. Al South will conduct the service at 7:00 p.m. in the chapel.
The graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday at East Tennessee Cemetery. Those attending should assemble at the cemetery by 12:45 p.m.
Honorary pallbearers will be grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 871 N. Weisgarber Road, Knoxville, TN 37909.
