Jacob Artie Tucker

Jacob Artie Tucker, 84, of Kingsport, went home to be with his Savior on Sunday, November 3, 2024. He was born and raised in Fall Branch, Tennessee. Jacob was the second of four children. His early life was spent working on a farm. He later moved to Kingsport and worked at the Kingsport Foundry. He worked at Perkins until he retired in 2012. Jacob loved to fish, play horseshoes, mow yards, and tell stories about his life as a farmer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John A. Tucker and Mary J. Tucker; sister, Linda Persinger; brother, Junior Tucker; and friend and brother-in-law, J.D. Overbay.

He is survived by his wife, Mary L. Tucker; children, Amy Blair and husband Billy, and Kelly Tucker; sister, Barbara S. Mitchell; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. with Terry Bennett officiating.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 8, 2024, at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
