Jacqueline "Jackie" Ketron Pyle, 81, Kingsport, passed away Saturday July 26, 2008 at Wellmont Hospice House, Bristol.

She was a life-long resident of Kingsport. Jackie was retired from Sullivan County Tax Assessor's Office in Kingsport. She was also a member of Cedarview Presbyterian Church, where she served as an elder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, D.A. Pyle, Jr.; son, David A. Pyle III; and great-granddaughter, Leslie Sue Large.

Surviving are daughter, Pam Large, and husband, Larry, Kingsport; son, Larry Pyle and wife, Carol, Omaha, NE; daughter-in-law, Norma Pyle, Blountville; five grandsons, Anthony Large, Andrew Large, Larry Pyle II, Michael Pyle, and Christopher Pyle; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Jim Swoager officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Anthony Large, Andrew Large, Rick Earnest, Vernon Lott, Brad Nicksic, and Coy Klepper. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry Pyle II, Michael Pyle, Christopher Pyle, Carl Smith, Bill Leedy, Charles "Bill" Large, and Jim Lott.
