James A. ?Sambo? Cox, 64, Fall Branch, passed away suddenly at his home on Thursday, November 29, 2007.
He was a good father, brother, and grandfather. He loved to hunt and fish and work on the farm. Sambo was loved by all who knew him and will be greatly missed.
His mother, Louise Cox preceded him in death.
He is survived by his companion, Wanda Ferguson; daughter, Tammy Yakley and husband Rex; sons, Tim Cox, Jamie Cox and wife Brandy, and Heath Cox; three grandchildren, Jessica Yakley, Gracie Cox, and Gabriel Johnson; two sisters, Murrel Walsh, Jean Fletcher and husband Bueford; two aunts, Hazel Baines and Bonnie Bruce; one niece, Heather Housewright and husband Mike; great-nephew, Ben Housewright; special friends, Alan Cox and Jerry Simpson; and several other friends and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Fall Branch Chapel of Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes. Friends will also be received at Sambo?s home at 231 Butchertown Road and Murrel Walsh?s home, 255 Butchertown Road.
Services will be conducted at 8 p.m. Saturday at the Fall Branch Chapel with Rev. Ray Fletcher officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Lighthouse Church Cemetery in Fall Branch.
Pallbearers will be Josh Ferguson, Joe Ferguson, Jeremy Ferguson, Alan Cox, Casey Cox, Anthony Moore, Rex Yakley, Brent Cox, Danny Moore, Alan Baines, John Ferguson, and Joe Foster.
