James B. J.B. Crawford

James B. Crawford J.B., 71, of Sullivan Gardens, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 23, 2011, at his home.

He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother.

He was preceded in death by his father, Byrd Crawford and mother, Mary L. Crawford, one sister, Bertha Mullins, two nephews, Scotty Mullins and Jerry Mullins.

He is survived by his wife and best friend, Sue Crawford; children, Jim, Robert Gene and wife, Rebecca, Sam, Melissa and husband, Roy; brother, Tony and wife, Jean; 12 Grandchildren; 11 Great-grandchildren; and faithful companion, his Pug, Suzie.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, July 26, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. The service will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. John Crawford and Brother Danny Dolen officiating. Music will be provided by the Heavenly Reflections.


A military graveside service will be conducted on Wednesday, July 27, at 11:00 a.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery by American Legion Posts #3/265.
