James David Glenn
James David Glenn, left this world to be with his Heavenly Father on Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Bristol Regional Medical Center.
He graduated from Nickelsville High School and attended Emory & Henry College before enlisting in the military and is a U.S. Air Force veteran. He resided in Kingsport most of his life and owned and operated Jim's Lawn Center, Inc. for the past 30 years. He was a faithful member of Indian Springs Baptist Church.
Surviving is his beloved wife of 57 years, Patsy. He is also survived by a sister, Judy Wright, and a niece and nephew.
There will be no funeral or formal visitation. Friends may pay their respects at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home downtown at their convenience on Sunday or Monday, July 24 or 25, 2011. Private graveside services will be conducted at Tri-City Memory Gardens with Rev. Aaron Rayburn officiating.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of your choice, The Gideons, P.O. Box 571, Kingsport, TN 37662 or Tri-Cities Christian School, 1500 Highway 75, Blountville, TN 37617.
