James ?Mousie? Grissom of Kingsport died Monday morning, December 17, 2007, after a brief illness.
He was a lifelong resident of Kingsport, a 1970 graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School, and worked as a painter in the Kingsport area. Mousie was an avid University of Tennessee sports fan and a Harley-Davidson enthusiast.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Howard and Gladys Grissom; grandparents, Arlie and Grace Grissom; and a brother, Wayne Conkin.
Surviving are two brothers, Jerry Grissom and wife, Debbie, Kingsport, Howard Grissom Jr. of Jonesborough; and two nephews, Tim Grissom and Matthew Grissom.
A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at East Lawn Memorial Park with Rev. Raymond Hammonds officiating.
Pallbearers will be Steve White, Shawn Wilkinson, Johnny Hodge, Larry Wilkinson, Joey Harden, and Scotty Grant. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
