James E. "Jimmy" Harman, Jr

James E. "Jimmy" Harman, Jr., 48, of Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 16, 2013. He was born August 14, 1964, in Richmond, Virginia, and had lived in the Kingsport area most of his life.

Jimmy enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a special love of animals. He will always be remembered as an excellent cook and for his naturally gifted "green thumb."

He is survived by his parents, James E. Harman, Sr. and Modesta Harman of Kingsport; sister, Pam Norris and husband, Rick, of Kingsport; nieces, Tiffany Norris and Heather Norris; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Reverend, and special friend, Frank Waldo and Mr. Jim Carson officiating. Music will be provided by vocalist, Brenda Isaacs, and pianist, Tom Allen.

The graveside service will follow the funeral service at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rick Norris, Alan Fox, Zachary Fox and Jon Conklin. Honorary pallbearer will be Vance Baker.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wellmont Hospice House for their special care. In addition, the family would like to extend special thanks to his Aunt June and Uncle Bob Bruce for all of their special support during his illness.
