James "Lloyd" Yonce, III, 46, Kingsport, died Thursday morning, June 17, 2010 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
"Lloyd was a great dad and loved his family and friends." A lifelong resident of Sullivan County, Lloyd was a graduate of Central High School. He was a dedicated employee with Eastman Chemical Company for the past 21 years. He served others by doing many things for many people. There are few who were not touched by his generosity.
Lloyd was an avid water skier and loved living on Boone Lake where he taught many friends and family members to ski.
Preceding him in death were his father, James Lloyd Yonce, Jr.; mother, Shirley Whitaker Yonce; and close friend, Stuart Wood.
Surviving are his wife, Lora Payne Yonce; son, Lloyd Alex Yonce; two sisters, Diana Parnell and husband, Phil and Martha Y. Parrish and husband, Mark, all of Kingsport; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive friends from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Scott Thompson and Pastor Larry Murphy officiating.
