James Shirrell Lee

James Shirrell Lee, 83, of Oak Glen Community, passed away peacefully at his home early Friday morning on January 12, 2024. James was born in Alabama but resided most of his life in the Fall Branch area. James was a lineman for A.E.P. until retiring. 

Mr. Lee was preceded in death by his parents, Conrad and Tura Bell Lee, brothers, Steve, Danny and Hollis Lee; sisters, Margaret Benjamin, and Mary Crowder; and son, Tim Lee.

James is survived by his wife, Dasie Mae Lee; daughter, Vickie Lee, grandchildren, Danny Phillips (Sami), Danielle Hicks (Brandon), Mitchell Lee (Valerie), Josh Lee, and Shields Lee (Kasey); great-grandchildren, Braxton Phillips, Kaylan, Blake and Leah Hicks, Calvin, Christian, Colin, and Annabel Lee; brother, Keith Lee (Cheryl); sisters, Dale Platt (Ronnie), Judy Trosper, Dean Banks, several nieces and nephews and special sisters-in-law, Janet Mullins and Alice Clark. 

Visitation will take place from 1:00pm – 2:00pm on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Hamlett Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch. Funeral services will follow with Pastor Larry Browder officiating. Graveside service will be conducted at Oak Glen Cemetery following the funeral.  

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
