James R. LeVar

In loving memory - James Richard LeVar, age 75, of Kingsport, TN, formally of Seminole, FL, died on January 19, 2012 at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center in Kingsport, TN. James was a Christian and member of Grace Covenant Church of Kingsport, TN. He was a loving husband, adoring father, proud grandfather, special pops, good friend and neighbor and a retired Air Force Veteran where he served as an Air Force Policeman.

James was proud to tell everyone how very much he loved his wife and missed her terribly after her untimely demise. He drew his strength from his commitment to his Lord and Savoir Jesus Christ and his family and friends. He enjoyed feeding crumbs to the birds, watching the children play, burning up the gas on the highway, working with his hands, grocery shopping, and let's not forget those Florida Gators!

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 ½ years, Barbara Jean LeVar in February of 2011, and son, Richard William LeVar in June of 2007.

James is survived by his daughter, Lorraine Lynn LeVar and grandson/son, James Carter, both of Florida.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, January 28th from 2-3:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm with, Dr. Ed Clevinger officiating.
