James Lacy Lunsford

James Lacy Lunsford, 24, of Kingsport died on Tuesday, December 14, 2010 at his home. James was born in Kingsport where he resided all of his life. He was a graduate of Dobyns-Bennett High School. He was self-employed and operated L.A. Production in Kingsport. James was a member of St. Timothy's Episcopal Church. He was an avid camper, hiker, and rock climber; James loved the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Marvin Carl "Bud" Lunsford, Jr.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth H. Lunsford of Kingsport; brother, John Lunsford and wife, Kristin of Charleston, SC.; maternal grandparents, W. Lacy Hair and wife, Elizabeth C. Hair of Winston Salem, NC.; paternal grandparents, Marvin Carl Lunsford, Sr. and wife, Claudia Simpson Lunsford of Winston Salem, NC.; four aunts; two uncles; and several cousins.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, 2010 at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church with The Rev. Richard Shackleford officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Inurnment will take place in the church columbarium.
