James Pal Freeman, 71, Kingsport, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 2, 2018. Pal was a lifelong resident of Kingsport and graduated valedictorian of his class at Holston High School. He received his Bachelor's and Master's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Tennessee and he also received a Master's degree in business from East Tennessee State University. Pal had retired from Tennessee Eastman following over 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Columba Episcopal Church, Bristol. Pal was an avid golfer. He was a loving father, brother, husband, and friend to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Freeman; and one son, Andrew Freeman.
Pal is survived by his daughter, Lauren Freeman; wife, Connie Richardson; sister, Nancy F. Stucker and husband Ralph; niece, Sara Phipps; and great nephews, Isaac and Jacob Jones.
The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m.
Burial will follow at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bristol Hospice House, 1 Medical Park Blvd, Bristol, TN 37620.
