James Lucion Presley

James L. Presley, 82, of Johnson City, went to be with the Lord Monday, November 25th, 2024. 

Born in Hancock County, he has lived in this area most of his adult life. He retired from Burger King after 21 years of service; and faithfully attended Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. James loved hunting, fishing and to whittle on wood. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dianna Presley, son, Gary Presley, parents, Sam and California Presley, brother, Rufus Presley, sister, Patricia Johnson. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Molly Colbert and husband Kevin, son, James Presley Jr and wife Christine, granddaughter, Lacey Williams, three brothers, Nay, David and Ken Presley, two sisters, Jean Gilreath and Amanda Wright, several nieces and nephews. Special thanks should go to the staff of Agape Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Most especially to his niece, Jenny, for her constant love and support of him over the years. 

The family will receive friends from 10-11am Friday, November 29th, 2024 at Buffalo Ridge Baptist Church. A funeral service will follow at 11am with Pastor John Herdman officiating. 

Burial will follow at Hamlett-Dobson Memorial Park in the Avenue Of Flags, where he will be laid to rest beside his wife Dianna.
