James Carroll Price

James Carroll Price, 81, of Kingsport, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Indian Path Medical Center. A native of Elk Garden, VA, he was the son of the late Bert and Clara Hale Price. James loved being a carpenter and was an insurance adjustor for many years. He also enjoyed camping until declining health no longer allowed.

He was preceded in death by his son, David Price and brother, Ralph Price.

James is survived by daughter-in-law, Ellen A. Price; grandson, Matthew Price and wife, Kylie of Blountville; great-grandson, Marshall Price; brother, Gene Price and wife, Rosie of Kingsport; sisters, Nola Childers and husband, Charles of Kingsport, and Linda Sue Dennison and husband, Omer of Morristown; good friend, Nancy Clement; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 5:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Manis officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.
