James R. "RB" Ferguson

James R. "RB" Ferguson, 84, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018 at his residence.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Edna; parents, Aurthur and Maude Ferguson; his brothers and sister; and son-in-law, Junior.

RB is survived by his daughters, Connie Riner, Christine Davenport (Jim Farmer) and Margaret Reynolds (Ken); sons, James Ferguson (Angie) and Jackie Payne (Susan); and his dearest and close friend, Mary Calton.

The family will receive friends from 6-8:00 pm on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. The funeral service will follow at 8:00 pm with Bro. Charles Frazier and Bro. Haskel Smith officiating.

The graveside service will be held on Sunday at 2:00 pm at Old Kingsport Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Those attending committal services are asked to assemble at the funeral home by 1:15 and then proceed to the cemetery.

Pallbearers will be James Ferguson, C.J. Crowell, Haskel Smith, Jeffery Ferguson, Christopher Ferguson, and Michael Speers. Honorary pallbearers will be Ezekiel Tarleton and Gage Luther Landon.
