James "Jim" H. Ramey, 63, of 652 Bays Mountain Road, Rogersville, passed away at 9 p.m. Friday, February 1, 2008 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wesley and Effie Mae Booker Ramey; two sisters, Ruby Hagey and Linda Adkins; and four brothers, Howel, Carl, Robert, and Milton Ramey.
Surviving are his wife, Margie Light Ramey; son, James "Wes" Wesley Ramey; adopted son, Brian Seiber; four brothers, Eugene Ramey, Jake Ramey, Williard Ramey, and Ira Ramey; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Bowser Cemetery in Rogersville with Reverend Bobby Bernard and Pastor Andy Sensabaugh officiating. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Hawkins County Color Guard. The family will meet at noon at the funeral home to go in procession or friends may meet them at the cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jason Light, Jerry Simpson, Steve Walters, Mike Walters, Junior Ramey, Randy Ramey, Chris Light, and Myron Grizzle.
