James Earl "Wolfie" Wolfe, 54, Kingsport, passed away Sunday, April 05, 2009, at Bristol Hospice House, following an extended battle with lung cancer.
James was born in Kingsport where he had resided for most of his life. He was a graduate of Sullivan Central High School Class of 72. James was an employee of Quebecor in Kingsport for 34 years, and had retired from Inové Graphics in 2007.
He was a member of Grace Church and HMWHDC.
James was preceded in death by his parents, Earl "Bub" Wolfe and Goldie Alice Carroll Wolfe.
Surviving are his wife, Dana Carol Wolfe of the home; sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Karen Hite, of Kingsport; two nieces, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Lea Collins of Gray and Mr. and Mrs. Brandon Natalie Smith of Jonesborough, aunt, Mrs. Nell Quarry of Church Hill, cousin Pat Mullins, of Kingsport, father-in-law, James D. Adams, Kingsport; mother-in-law, Carolyn Gail Adams, Kingsport; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Eric and Patricia Osborne, Kingsport, Christina Adams, Costa Mesa, CA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and very special friends and honorary family members, Fred and Kim Sarver. Additionally, James had more friends than could be listed.
Calling hours are 5-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport.
Services will follow at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Robinson and Jim Henderson officiating.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Mickey Osborne, Mark Bowling, Clifford Chess, Gary Keene, Shane Ladd, Rick McCamy, James Campbell and Brian Ellis. Honorary pallbearers will be Fred Sarver, Earl Gillenwater, Jim Henderson, Eric Osborne and David Cross.
