Jane Mellons

Jane Mellons, 65, of Kingsport, went to be with her heavenly Father on Monday, July 8, 2013, after an apparent heart attack. Born in Wise County, Virginia, she had resided in Kingsport most of her life. Jane had worked as a hairdresser at Rich's for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Caner and Lola Sizemore, brothers, Cecil Sizemore and Carroll Sizemore, and sisters, Joyce Sarver and Reba Head.

Jane is survived by her husband, Glenn Mellons of the home; three children, Benjamin Mellons and wife, Laura, Rebecca Mellons and Rachel Mellons, all of Kingsport; three grandchildren, Damien McClain, Kaleb McClain and Cadience McClain; three sisters, Wilma Hutto of Atlanta, GA, Anna Mullins and husband, Dickie of Kingsport and Debbie Hubbard and husband, Leon of Appalachia, VA; brother, Merrill Sizemore of Stonega, VA; several nieces and nephews; and special friend, Patricia Scalf of Kingsport.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5-7:00 pm at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday at 11:00 am at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport with Pastor Jeff Strong and Rev. Vic Wallace officiating. Burial will follow the service in Oak Hill Memorial Park.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Barger, Craig Moody, Tom Barber, Michael Mellons, Norman Gray and Ben Mellons. Honorary pallbearers will be Dickie Mullins and Merrill Sizemore.
