Jane Fillers Quillin, 83, Sullivan Gardens, died Tuesday, January 29, 2008, at Wellmont Holston Valley Medical Center.
She was a fulltime homemaker and a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Jane was a member of Glen Alpine United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. She was active in both her church and community.
Preceding her in death were husband, Howard C. Quillin; an infant daughter, Sandra Lee Quillin; her parents, Walter and Alma Fillers; a sister, Frances Helen Holmes; and a brother, Troy B. Fillers.
Surviving are two daughters, Rebecca Burton and husband, G. C. of Duluth, Georgia; Fran Chandler and husband, Joel of Lexington, South Carolina; two sons, Randy Quillin and wife, Lana of Kingsport; David Quillin and wife, Ginger of Knoxville, TN; twelve grandchildren and four great-grandchildren: Justin Quillin and wife, Tanya and their children, Duncan and Karaline; Josh Quillin and his daughters, Embree and Audree; Neal Burton, Whitney Burton, Abby Burton; John Quillin, Ginny Quillin; Bethany Chandler, Caitlin and husband Sgt. Ryan Wilson, USMC, Hannah Chandler, Ethan Chandler, and Kylie Chandler; and a sister-in-law, Evelyn Ryland of Urbanna, Virginia.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Homes, Kingsport. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jerry Jones officiating.
Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Friday at Oak Hill Memorial Park.
Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
