Jane Adams Taylor

Jane Adams Taylor, 74, Kingsport, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2013, after an extended illness.

Her favorite pastimes included reading, playing the piano, crocheting and spending time with her family. Jane also enjoyed her red birds (cardinals) collection. She attended Dobyns-Bennett High School. She was a graduate of Whitney Business College, with a degree in accounting.

Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Mart" Taylor; parents, Elizabeth and Wayne Adams; brothers, Walter and Rudy Adams.

She is survived by her daughters, Nancy Puckett and husband, David, of Kingsport, and Alice Taylor of Knoxville; son, Robert Wayne Taylor of Murfreesboro; seven grandchildren, Kendra Marshall and husband, Justin, Kerissa Ward, Caitlyne Steward, Christian Steward, Rachael Carroll and husband, Kevin, Raegan Taylor, Adam Taylor and wife, Ashley; two step-grandsons, John and Brad Puckett; seven great-grandchildren, Nathan, Preston, Owen, and Carly Taylor, Emily Braman, Kayleigh and Nicholas Carroll; sister, Lynn Adams; niece, Becky Ramey; special friends, Jada Jones and family; her beloved cats, Morris and Yum-Yum.

The graveside service will be held at Gardners Chapel Cemetery on Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at 4:00 pm with Pastor Mike Stout officiating. Friends and family are asked to gather at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport, by 3:15 pm to go to the cemetery.
