Janie K. Bussell

Janie K. Bussell, Gray, Tennessee, died early Wednesday morning at her home. Janie was born in Hawkins County, TN, and had resided in Gray for most of her life. She was a member of Valley Center United Methodist Church and had been an employee of Eastman, where she worked in filter tow, retiring in 2005.

She was preceded in death by her father, Fred Bussell, Sr.

She is survived by a son, Benjamin Joshua Bussell, of Gray; her mother, Sallie M. Bussell, also of Gray; brothers, Joe Bussell, Church Hill, and Fred Bussell and wife, Diane, of Kingsport; and a niece, nephew, and special companions, Natlie, Nicole, and Oreo.

The family will receive friends on Friday and Saturday from 1 to 5 p.m. at the residence of Fred Bussell, 518 Riverside Avenue, Kingsport, and on Monday from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Kingsport. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. following the visitation at the funeral home, with Rev. Calvin Tabor officiating. Interment will follow at Sulphur Springs Cemetery. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
