J.D. Cleek

JD Cleek, 78, of Fall Branch, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013.

JD retired from Mason Dixon - Special Commodities. He was an ordained Baptist minister, a farmer extraordinaire, an avid genealogist and published a history of his genealogy.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Cleek; mother, Sallie Cleek McCann; brother, Otis Cleek; and sister, Ireatis Fields.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia Whaite Cleek of Fall Branch; sons, Billy Wayne Cleek and wife Beverly of Kingsport, Dana Cleek and wife Lee of Chesapeake, VA, Kevin Cleek and wife Beverly of Cohutta, GA; four grandchildren, Cody Wayne Cleek, Hayden Cleek, Benjamin Cleek, and Megan Wigginton; brother, Fred Dane Cleek and wife Mary Ruth of Gray; sister, Frances Miller and husband Glen of Chuckey; sister-in-law, Carline Cleek of Kingsport; brothers, Don McCann and wife Linda of Kingsport and Jim McCann and wife Sue of Sevierville, TN; sister, Carla McCann Sylva and husband Harold of Gladwin, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Hamlett-Dobson Funeral Home, Fall Branch.
